To Make Life Easier (Helpful Tricks) and Cheaper

I admit it . . . I’m a cheapskate at heart. LOL

I LOVE a good deal; a sale; a freebie.

I LOVE ways to save money. I am going to start this blog to list things that I do and any other suggestions that others have to save money. I am going to add to it slowly, please be patient. Here we go . . .

  1. Put tennis balls in your dryer. YES, it really works and the tennis balls are in every load that I dry. I tried this years ago and I went from it taking 1.5 hours to dry a load of jeans to less than an hour.
  2. If you live near a Habitat for Humanity Restore, go there!!! They have furniture and household items (linens, dinnerware, decorations, everything) for pennies on the dollar.
  3. Wipe a little oil (I use coconut oil) on your shower curtain rod. Your shower curtain will slide better and your rod will look good.
  4. Did you know that you can use a lot less laundry detergent than the manufacturer recommends? Don’t believe me? Run a load of towels and don’t add any detergent. You will be shocked at how much detergent is still in them.
  5. more to come . . .

If you have something that you would like to add, please comment.
