YCMTSU:   “Dad, Is This Real?”

One and Two:  [Yelling from the basement in unison, individually, etc.]  “Is THAT real?  DAD, is this real?  DAAAAADD!!!!  IS THIS REAL?”

Dad:  [From upstairs.]  “Is WHAT real?” 

One and Two:  “This – come look!”

Dad:  Goes to the basement.  Looks at what they are both pointing at.  He gets a rag and picks up the dead mouse from the sofa they were sitting on, and says, “Yes, it WAS real.”

Me:  “How long has it been there?”

Dad:  “Not long from the looks of him.”

One:  “EWWW!!!  That’s where I was sitting last night!”

Maybe we teased, kidded, joked with, etc. our kids too much.  Nah!!

DISCLAIMER:  You need to know that I have 3 children.  I will call them One, Two, and Three and the first child that I refer to in the story will be One, the second will be Two, etc.  This will have nothing to do with their age, height, or who is my favorite at that moment 😊.  I will alter some things so that my kids won’t get upset but I promise to keep the essence of the stories the same.
