YCMTSU: DRIVING –
One (elementary school age): I cannot wait until I can drive a car!
One (middle school age): I cannot wait until I can drive a car! I can go wherever I want, whenever I want.
One (early high school age): I cannot wait until I can drive myself to school!
Me (when One was old enough to get a driver’s license): Are you ready to get your driver’s license? Here is the booklet that you need to study to get your Learner’s Permit. I can sign you up for professional driving lessons as soon as you are ready. We will get a car and you can drive yourself to school.
One: Nope. Not doing it! (And didn’t for more than one year.)
One eventually did get their license and has now driven over a good portion of the eastern half of the United States.
DISCLAIMER: You need to know that I have 3 children. I will call them One, Two, and Three and the first child that I refer to in the story will be One, the second will be Two, etc. I will also refer to their Dad as Dad. This will have nothing to do with their age, height, or who is my favorite at that moment 😊. I will alter some things so that my kids won’t get upset but I promise to keep the essence of the stories the same.
