RELATIONSHIPS AREN’T EASY –

It is true. Relationships are not easy. Whether it be friends, business, romantic, or any other type of relationship, it is impossible for it to be easy. How can they be easy? No 2 people will agree on everything. If we all agreed on everything, think about how boring that would be.

What I have learned is that true, honest, real, authentic relationships between 2 people take work, discomfort, pain, laughter, understanding, compromise, sharing, and a million other things on both their parts. The easy relationships that I have had were not authentic.

Relationships with someone that require you to forgive them often, ignore and/or rationalize their behavior, pretend things are okay, and/or not take care of yourself are not healthy relationships nor are they good for you. The truth is that you know that; you know that this relationship is wrong for you, but you make excuses to stay. You are wasting your time and losing yourself.

A good relationship is worth having and is definitely worth working on – together.
